Physik-Professorin gegen Verweiblichungsverblödung

Scheint, als würden die australischen Universitäten gerade anfangen, sich wieder zu entfeminisieren. Es setzt sich die Erkenntnis durch, dass Verweiblichung Verblödung ist. [Korrektur: Ich habe anscheinend einen Satz falsch verstanden.]

In Australien hat die Professorin für Quantenphysik Michelle Simmons in einer Rede beim Australia Day gerade mal so richtig auf die Pauke gehauen (siehe Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, Daily Telegraph)

Professor Michelle Simmons, a professor of quantum physics at the University of NSW, has expressed her horror at the “feminised” nature of the HSC physics curriculum.

Delivering the 2017 Australia Day address on Tuesday, Professor Simmons said it was a “disaster” to try to make physics more appealing to girls by substituting rigorous mathematical problem-solving with qualitative responses.

Das ist ja auch das, was hier als „Kompetenzen” durchgeht: Labern statt Rechnen.

“There is a big cost in this type of thinking,” she said to an audience that included Premier Gladys Berejiklian.

“When we reduce the quality of education that anyone receives we reduce the expectations we have of them,” she said.

Ja. Aber welche Erwartungen hätte man in einer feministischen Gesellschaft noch an Frauen?

Feminismus ist ja der Widerspruch, Frauen gleichzeitig als überlegen hinzustellen und gar nichts mehr von ihnen zu erwarten. Niemand hält Frauen für so dämlich wie der Feminismus, niemand sonst versucht, Frauen in die Universitäten zu bringen, indem man geistige Rollstuhlrampen baut.

Und anscheinend hat man es kapiert, denn die scheinen sich dort schon wieder zu entfeminisieren:

A spokesman for the NSW Education Standards Authority (formerly BOSTES) said the new HSC science curriculum will commence in 2018.

He said: “The new courses address the exact concerns expressed by Professor Simmons.

“The physics and chemistry courses will have a greater focus on mathematical applications.”

He also said there will be a reduction in the sociology-based content and an emphasis on practical investigations.

Macht Euch das klar: Sie haben verstanden, dass Feminisierung Müll ist. Sie machen wieder mehr und bessere Mathematik. Und dafür reduzieren sie Sozio-Quatsch und „praktische Erkundungen”. Hat ja auch nichts gebracht, war nur wertloses Geschwätz.

[Korrektur: Einige Leser haben sich bei mir gemeldet und mich darauf hingewiesen, dass ich den Satz wohl falsch verstanden habe. In der Tat. Ich hatte eigentlich vorgehabt, das nochmal in anderen Artikeln nachzulesen, was das für praktische Erkundungen sein sollten, weil ich dabei an irgendwelche soziologischen Befragungen dachte, und dann nicht mehr daran gedacht. Ich hatte da statt „an emphasis” „the emphasis” gelesen und das im Satzbau unter „reduction” mitgezählt, mich aber noch gewundert, was für wunderliche Untersuchungen das sein sollten, dachte, das sind wieder irgendwelche feministischen Infragestellungen, nachdem sie ja schon von dieser Soziologisierung redeten. Es ist aber wohl genau das Gegenteil davon gemeint, nämlich mehr naturwissenschaftliche Experimente. Freut mich aber enorm, wenn die Leser mitdenken und es überprüfen, anstatt stupide zu schlucken. Beweist nämlich, dass ich ein qualitativ viel besseres Publikum als die meisten Medien habe. ]

Professor Simmons’ Australia Day speech focused on the need for Australians to attempt the difficult things in life.

“It is better to do the things that have the greatest reward; things that are hard, not easy,” she said.

Das ist aber der zentrale Punkt: Die Feminisierungswelle hat alles auf so völlig hirnloses Niveau heruntergefahren. Wie ich oben sagte: Sie wollen uns weismachen, Frauen wären in allem besser als Männer und gleichzeitig müssen sie für Frauen die Anforderungen auf Null drehen und alles zum Emotionalgefasel machen.

Totaaaal frauenfeindlich. Wo uns doch under Gender-Studies-Professorinnen (voran die Verfassungsrichterin Baer) lehren, dass Qualität eine Illusion und für Männer gemacht ist, und jeglich Qualitätsanforderungen frauenausgrenzend ist.

“One of the few things that horrified me when I arrived in Australia (in 1999) was to discover that, several years ago the high school physics curriculum was “feminised”, Professor Simmons told a high-profile audience at Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music.

“In other words, to make it more appealing to girls, our curriculum’s designers substituted formulae with essays! What a ­disaster,’’ she said.

“The lucky country. I think this is a mistake, because it does not acknowledge the hard work that people have done to be successful and it encourages us to shy away from difficult challenges. In short, I believe it will eventually stop us from being as ambitious as we might be.”

After the speech, Prof Simmons gave an example of the type of curriculum changes she was taking issue with.

“It’s being asked to write an essay on what’s the impact of a nuclear power plant on the environment,” she said.

“It’s more of a descriptive essay than actually saying ‘how does a nuclear power plant work and describe its operation’, maybe give a problem that it solves. It’s that sort of thing.
