Professorin erhält Schutz gegen Transen-Terror

Noch so ein Zipfel, an dem die Zivilisation degeneriert.

Die BBC berichtet über eine Professorin in Oxford, die von Trans-Aktivisten bedroht wird und nun zur Vorlesung begleitet wird, damit sie nicht überfallen wird:

An Oxford professor given protection after alleged threats from transgender rights activists says she did not want to “wait and see if I’d get hit in the face” before taking action.

Selina Todd, modern history professor at St Hilda’s College, said members of staff accompanied her to lectures after learning of threats on social media.

Prof Todd has now warned against shutting down debates.

The University of Oxford said it did not comment on individual arrangements.

The academic told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme she felt “vulnerable” having previously experienced hostility from some academics and students.

Prof Selina Todd, a historian who specialises in the lives of women and the working class, said that she has now been provided with “routine security” to ensure she is not attacked.

The academic – who has been accused of being a “transphobe” for her involvement in women’s rights advocacy – was told by her students that she was potentially in danger.

Eine geradezu wunderbare Konstellation. Eine Feministin, anscheinend deutlich sozialistisch oder kommunistisch ausgerichtet, wird als transphob angegriffen und bedroht, weil sie sich für Frauenrechte einsetzt. Göttlich. Geht runter wie Öl.

Und warum wird sie angegriffen?

On her website, Todd writes, “Like every other gender critical feminist I know, I encountered the current debate about whether transgender people should be able to self-identify as such (without fulfilling other legal and medical requirements) from the instinctive standpoint that I wanted to support transpeople’s rights,” according to oxfordstudent.com.

“But after months of research, I concluded that this position would harm the rights of women, because so often what is being asked for is free access to women-only spaces.”

After some students discovered the statement, faculty members began receiving “daily” complaints from activists demanding that she be fired.

Prof Todd said the threats come from some campaigners who believe her views on the need to protect women’s spaces, such as single-sex refuges, from people who self-identify as women but are anatomically male are unacceptable.

The academic said that she has witnessed “quite antagonistic” and “quite confrontational” protests outside women’s rights meetings she has spoken at in the past.

But she insisted that discussions about women’s rights should not be silenced.

Eine Gender-Feministin, die von Trans-Aktivisten beschimpft und bedroht wird – besser könnt’s doch gar nicht passen. Geliefert wie bestellt. Bedenke, worum Du bittest. Die Geister, die ich rief.

Das Herrliche daran ist ja, dass sich die Feministinnen das Problem komplett selbst gebaut und vors Knie genagelt haben.

Schon seit einiger Zeit kocht das ja hoch und gewinnen Frauen in Sportwettbewerben nichts mehr, wenn Transen mitrennen. Das gab’s ja schon in vielen Sportarten, dass da auf einmal so ein Kerl im Sportbikini daherkommt, die alle plattmacht und die Goldmedaille mitnimmt. Und die Frauen gucken in die Röhre. In irgendeiner Ballsportart neulich doch auch. Und wehe, man sagt was. Dann ist man sofort auf dem Scheiterhaufen.

Dann natürlich in den Umkleidekabinen, in denen sich Kerle rumtreiben, die sagen, dass sie sich jetzt als Frau identifizieren. Oder die Sexualtäter, die sich in den Frauenknast verlegen lassen, wo die ihnen dann nicht mehr davonlaufen können.

Aber da haben wir weiße, alte, heterosexuelle Männer so gar keine Aktien dran, weder auf der einen, noch auf der anderen Seite. Das Ding haben die sich selbst gebaut.

Also nimmt man sich was zu trinken, ein paar Kartoffelchips, lehnt sich zurück, und schaut entspannt zu, wer gewinnt.
